Cottage Angels is a division of Cumbrian Property Services Limited and was set up in 2005 to satisfy an unfulfilled need in the holiday property market in Cumbria. The founding Directors Phil and Liz Newport started the business after years of listening to holiday home and small hotel owners in the Lake District. Phil says: "I couldn't believe how much time holiday home owners were spending maintaining their own holiday retreats rather than enjoying their valuable holidays".

Both Phil and Liz had successful careers in the Midlands before deciding that the only way to spend enough time in their 'spiritual home' (The Lake District) was to move there and start Cumbrian Property Services Limited.

Phil and Liz are both graduates from Brunel University. Phil's first career was in the Automotive sector, where he left a senior role in Motor Vehicle Services. Liz's career took her to Retail Customer Services and more recently Landscape Design. Together, they are able to combine their experience of demanding service sectors with a wealth of knowledge from their property developing hobby, to bring you a unique service offering.

Phil and Liz have chosen to locate their headquarters in the Penrith area, because it makes an excellent centre for servicing both the North and South Lakes.
